Random: What are you doing right now?

Just trying to delete a nasty virus, called isass.exe. Its not going too well, since i cant seem to find it.

One or more of AVG 7, SpyBot, or Ad-aware should do it for you. I've Googled and it seems to be a trojan, so all you'll need is to search all the hard disks and delete the file. (Kill it first with the task manager, if it's running.)

Cheers, its all sorted now. My brother erraneously downloaded it off an idle friend, thinking it was some innocent joke file; instead it turned out to be a trojan which opened the back ports and let a load of java based spyware leak through. I had fears because there was a similar infection going round which lead to computers shutting down after 59 seconds, but i think my windows update would have handled that.

That was sasser, it exploited a vulnerability in lsass.exe (a Windows service). isass.exe is clearly trying to go unnoticed by looking like lsass.exe, but it's the job of a lamer, I wonder why it's not called svchost.exe which would be harder to notice.

Valentine's day... Meh this day it sucks so much without a girlfriend. Guess I should do as Keitaro and Mutsumi and cook an impressive chocolate cake for myself.

My friends and I made chocolate stuff yesterday to hand out ^_^;; I may officially not have a bf but people seem to think I do becuase we spend so much time together :/ Nonetheless Valentine's is great for the candy >_< too bad how I can't eat it until next week.
